The second annual Kilometers for C.O.P.S. is being run to continue a great tradition of support for the families of our fallen law enforcement officers.
The inaugural race in 2011 raised over $4100. We hope to topple the $5000 mark in 2012 through your fundraising efforts and the generosity of those who donate. Raised funds will directly support the families and loved ones of past and future fallen Colorado Law Enforcement Officers through emotional, physical and psychological channels.

Leave No Trace throughout the event - use the trashcans and recycling bins. No aid station cups will be allowed beyond the aid station trash cans. Please notify the race director and on-site paramedics if you experience any medical emergency.
Course
The 3.1 mile or 5km course is on the Colorado State Patrol Drive Track. The track is well paved, triangle-shaped, and 1.45 miles long. Athletes will run 2 clockwise loops plus a straightaway on the infield to finish. There is very little elevation change, and absolutely no vehicular traffic. A perfect course for a PR!
Please stay after the race to enjoy refreshments and snacks.
Sponsor prizes will be given out following the race.
Champions Trophy
The top-3 male and female runners from each law enforcement department will earn points for their department. The winning law enforcement department will take home the traveling Champions Trophy. It sits comfortably in the Lakewood Police Department Chief of Police's office at this time.

Volunteers are needed to make this race a memorable one! Please send the race promoter a message about volunteering!
