HRCA Backcountry Wilderness 1/2 Marathon

Join us for our fourth annual 1/2 marathon in Highlands Ranch. This is an amazing course utilizing the Douglas County and new HRCA Backcountry trails. The race starts at 6,000 ft. It goes up to a high point of 6,400 ft and then back down to 5.900 ft... all before the turn around. It is not a lot of elevation gain, but there is alot of up and down.

This is a challenging course with 95% of it on dirt trails. Dogs and strollers are not allowed. This course has amazing views, possibly wildlife viewing and a mountain feel to it right here in Highlands Ranch. We race rain or shine or snow!

Time: 8:30 a.m.

Packet Pick up: 7:30 a.m.

Pricing:

Early Bird - $55. Early bird will close on 10/27/12 at 11:59 pm.

2 Weeks Prior- $60. 2 weeks prior will close at noon on 11/9/12.
Race day - $65.

Location: Start and Finish is at Paint Brush park in Highlands Ranch. It's just east of the Recreation Center at Southridge on McArthur Ranch Road.

Driving directions: C470 exit South on University Blvd. Turn Rt. on Wildcat Blvd. Left on McArthur Ranch Rd. The park will be on your right, just after The Recreation Center at Southridge.

Parking: Please park at the Recreation Center at Southridge. (4800 McArthur Ranch Road). Facility will be open for use for race participants if needed.

All participants will receive a finisher prize and medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each age group. Overall trophies will be given to the top male and female.

Pre-registered racers will receive a dri release long sleeve navy running shirt. Mens and Womens specific sizes are available on a first come first serve basis.

Post Race: Great Raffle Prizes, Music, Food and Beverages! !

Water Stations: water, gel and gatorade will be available throughout the course.
