Join us for the 5th Iowa Snowshoe State Championships. The race takes place in Hartman Reserve Nature Center on a course sure to be challenging and exciting! Two options are available, including a 5k race/hike for fun, and a 10k race for more of a challenge. Snowshoe rental is included in the race fee, but rentals are on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone is invited for refreshments after the race.

NEW THIS YEAR - The 10k race will be part of the 2011-2012 Dion Snowshoes National Snowshoe Championship Qualifying Series, helping to qualify athletes for participation in the 2012 U.S. National Snowshoe Championships in Frisco, CO. Participants must be a USSSA member to qualify.

Cost: $20 - All the money goes back to Hartman Reserve and CVAST as a thank you for hosting such a great event.

Registration: Race day registration is available starting at 8:00 AM

Please Note:
-It will be cold so bundle up! For tips on what to wear visit snowshoe 101 provided by The Runner’s Flat. Don’t expect cancellations due to weather, this is snowshoeing after all!
-Parking will be limited, so give yourself plenty of time to find a spot and get to the race.
-Spectators are more than welcome! The more the merrier!

Awards: Prizes for overall male and female winner from each race
