The Sonic Boom Race, brought to you by Lucky Pie, is Louisville’s most exciting spectator race and is coming back to Historic Downtown Louisville this summer. Come watch as Colorado’s best cyclist race up Main Street and around Memory Square Park.

Course Description:

Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Louisville, the course will start and finish on Main Street and follows a path through the residential west of downtown. The streets are wide and smooth with a three block hill and a meandering downhill leading into the final turn-The Lucky Pie Corner.

The Sonic Boom Kid’s Bike Race and fun Cruiser Race are open to everyone. All kid participants receive a free ice cream cone, sponsored by Sweet Cow and Centennial Valley Pediatrics. At the end of the day, stop by the Avery beer garden at Lucky Pie’s expanded front patio space for the end of race celebrations.

Registration Procedures:
Online Registration: Closes July 5th at midnight.
Day of Race Registration: Lucky Pie Pizza and Taphouse, Front & Pine St, Louisville. Race registration opens at 7:30AM. Registration closes 40 minutes prior to start of each race.

Licensing:
1-Day USAC licenses on site (Cat 5 men & Cat 4 women only). USAC annual licenses online at www.usacycling.org. ACA annual membership online at www.coloradocycling.org.

Entry Fees:
1-Day ACA Membership: $5/day Chip Rental

Prizes:
$3,500 in prizes, 3 prime laps per Senior race Awards presentation at Lucky Pie Pizza & Tap House. Awards handed out 20 min after each race. Must be present (in person, no friends) to collect prizes, failure to show up for the awards ceremony will forfeit prize.

CHIP TIMING:
ACA Timing System will be in use, rental transponders available: $10 plus deposit of credit card or driver’s license; ACA annual members can purchase chips at www.coloradocycling.org

All USAC Rules apply:
USAC Release waiver must be signed by all racers or parent/guardian for anyone 18 years or younger.

USAC License Required.
USAC 1-Day license: $10, only available on site for CAT5 men, CAT4 women.
Annual license available online at www.coloradocycling.org

ACA annual membership recommended to avoid ACA-1 Day membership ($5) on Race Day.
(ACA 1-Day membership exempt with USAC-1 DAY).
